# Pricing, wallet and usage

> One published price, one VAT charge and immutable accounting.

Every organization has one prepaid NGN wallet shared by its projects and products. Authorized customer users fund it through the management payment flow. A checkout redirect alone does not credit a wallet; Paystack transactions must be independently verified server-side.

Use `POST /pricing/quote` with `usage:read` to inspect a current effective retail rate:

The quote exposes `subtotal`, `vatAmount`, `total`, currency, rate ID and effective date. Internal Meta/provider cost is not exposed. Quotes do not reserve funds, authorize a send or guarantee the same rate after a scheduled price change. Acceptance snapshots the then-effective approved price.

The published Sendlyy price already includes Meta cost. **Add 7.5% VAT once**, separately. Example: net NGN 4.00 + VAT NGN 0.30 = total NGN 4.30. Monetary values use decimal arithmetic and four-place accounting precision.

Live message, Verify and Notify fees finalize when the API durably accepts the send. Invalid requests do not debit. Delivery failure is not an automatic refund, and delivery receipts do not create another charge. Corrections use separately reviewed ledger adjustments. Retrying the same accepted send with its same idempotency key does not double-charge.

`GET /usage` returns paginated scoped records; `/usage/summary` aggregates by service over a supplied date range of at most 366 days. Records identify project/environment, retail amount, VAT and originating API key where applicable, without internal provider costs. Shared Verify/Notify usage does not have a dedicated `senderId`.

Optional project monthly budgets cap new accepted spending. Insufficient funds or budget conflicts return 409 rather than accepting unpayable work. Sandbox sends are free and do not invent billable usage.

Number rental is separate: monthly automatic wallet debit, three-day grace and 30-day retention after suspension. AI monthly plans and actual token usage are managed through the dashboard and are outside this developer API contract.
